Bio

Lisa Tugnette was diagnosed with breast cancer at the early age of 36 and shortly thereafter lost both breasts to mastectomies. The immediate sense of loss was intense and her self-image plummeted. The fact that there appeared to be so little information available on how to cope with the grief that overwhelmed her led to the writing of this book. Lisa's hope is that her own story - from the early days of despair to the eventual breast cancer reconstruction which restored her confidence as a woman - will help other women embarking on a similar journey.

Lisa lives in Kingston, Ontario, with her husband and two children.

A percentage of the book sales will be donated to Willow Breast Cancer Support Canada and Breast Cancer Action Kingston.
